i lack the motivation to create a title for this 13:19 MST
hiya! this is the first thing i've added to this section of the site. i've really been meaning to post here, but i just haven't, mostly because adhd and partially because i just haven't wanted to do anything lately.this past weekend, i went adventuring at a toy show and my favorite antique mall. i say "favorite" loosely, because it's the only one i've ever been to, but if you ignore the occasional guy wearing too much cologne and the fact that it is HUGE and takes around an hour and a half to walk through, it is a magical place. i find myself longing to escape the company i came with just to get lost in the aisles of old frills and glistening glass.
the toy show really wasn't spectacular. i went last year, and it was okay, but i really prefer this one toy show i went to last year. mostly because i distinctly remember seeing several lolitas there, and it's more of my thing because there are less matchbox cars. anyway, the majority of the vendors at the toy show this weekend were people selling carded toys. which is cool, but also irritating, because i prefer my ponies out of plastic. i want my scrunklys free. usually they're cheaper that way, and i can carry them around. however, i did find one vendor with a little basket of g1 ponies. i believe they had medley, firefly, fifi, baby flicker, and a few other ponies for relatively reasonable prices. i got scoops, since she's been on my wishlist for some time and she was in very nice shape.
at the aforementioned antique mall, i really didn't find a whole lot either. i managed to get through the whole place despite my timeline. i found snow'el (who is one of my favorite g3 ponies, and has eluded me until now), crystal empire applejack, and two absolutely gorgeous barbies. i don't have pictures of them since i'm still cleaning them up, but i found them in the very last row of the place and fell in love. i was contemplating only getting one of them until i realized that they were probably married and i was dooming them to a life of sorrow.
snow'el has a funny sort of smell if you put her too close to your face. toboggan and sno-glo, my other two winter ponies, have the same sort of scent, and i got them from a different place mint in package. i tried asking about it on the mlptp, just to get a reply equivalent to blank stares. so please, if you've got any smelly winter ponies: tell me about it! i want to know if this is an isolated problem.
anyway, here's a picture of my new friends. they cleaned up very nicely. and i'm in love with snow'el's curls.
